Branch Manager, Transportation Brokerage/Oil

Job Description: GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The primary function of the Branch Manager is to build a Transportation Brokerage office via solicitation of new customers; locally and nationwide. Recruit a team of experienced professionals to grow and service the business in the Niobrara Shale field. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Strong Oil Field experience in rig moves and hot shot services to the oil field. 2. The ability to sell transportation services; TL, LTL, and IM. 3. Generate new business as a result of heavy direct communications with customers; written and verbal. 4. The ability to hire and manage personal with the abilities to grow and service the business. 5. Meet or exceed annual net revenue forecast/ budget as determined by management. 6. Influence customers to utilize company's services and provide creative solutions to win business. 7. Coordinate with operations to provide exceptional service to the customer. 8. Effectively manage all activities of named customer and promote all company services to develop a growing customer base. 9. Manage travel and entertainment expenses within budgetary guidelines. 10. Maintain an on-going program of self-improvement with respect to technical knowledge of customer activities and industry specific knowledge. 11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Job Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Strong Oil Field experience preferred. Broad knowledge of such fields as advanced accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises 3 non-supervisory employee(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED Advanced: Contact Management Intermediate: Human Resources Systems, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing Basic: 10-Key, Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Database
