Oil Field Based Branch Manager
Job Description: GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The primary function of the Branch Manager is to build a Transportation Brokerage office via solicitation of new customers; locally and nationwide. Recruit a team of experienced professionals to grow and service the business in the Niobrara Shale field. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. The ability to sell transportation services; TL, LTL, and IM. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time. Strong understanding of Oil field preferred. 2. Generate new business as a result of heavy direct communications with customers; written and verbal. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time. 3. The ability to hire and manage personal with the abilities to grow and service the business. This duty is performed weekly, about 20% of the time. 4. Meet or exceed annual net revenue forecast/ budget as determined by management. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time. 5. Influence customers to utilize company's services and provide creative solutions to win business. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time. 6. Coordinate with operations to provide exceptional service to the customer. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time. 7. Effectively manage all activities of named customer and promote all company services to develop a growing customer base. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time. 8. Manage travel and entertainment expenses within budgetary guidelines. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time. 9. Maintain an on-going program of self-improvement with respect to technical knowledge of customer activities and industry specific knowledge. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time. 10. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Broad knowledge of such fields as advanced accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises 3 non-supervisory employee(s). Departments supervised by this position include NA. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
